Eco-Schools

Invicta Grammar School has actively embraced the Eco-Schools programme, aligning its initiatives with themes of Global Awareness and Personal Development. Recognising the overwhelming nature of global environmental challenges, the Eco-Schools programme offers a practical seven-step framework to empower educators and young people to make a positive impact in their schools, local communities, and beyond.

Eco Schools Square

Through workshops and fundraising events, we encourage students to take the lead in promoting environmental action, such as running cross-school workshops and raising funds for various environmental causes including The Kent Wildlife Trust and local nature reserves. Many of our students engage in these activities at our Geography Society which takes place Wednesdays after school!

Recently, our students' commitment to sustainability and global awareness was even recognised with a Green Flag award from Eco-Schools.

Below are some of the ways our student community has engaged with the Eco-Schools programme:

Weekly Geography Society Meetings

Each week members of the Geography Society meet to discuss future fundraising events, environmental awareness, sustainability and climate change.
